Lady shares screenshots of Landlord’s chat saying he doesn’t want Igbo tenants
A young lady, Mary Ufot in search of a house in Lagos state has taken to social media to share screenshots of the chat between her and an agent standing in for a landlord.
Ufot, an indigene of Akwa Ibom state, said the agent asked where she’s from and told her that Igbo tenants are not wanted.
Although she mentioned that she’s not Igbo, the agent told her that people from Akwa Ibom are still considered Igbo.
Sharing the screenshot, Ufot wrote;
“I have come again. So aside working class wahala, Lagos people still pick tribes too. We dey shout change and telling govt to do dis and that when within ourselves we hate ourselves.
So this story I heard of the hatred for Igbos in Lagos is real?
